EFT ~ Emotional Freedom technique

What is EFT?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a mind/body energy balancing system closely related to accupunture.  It is one of the most effective tools one can use to clear out emotional and physical pains and create the healing needed to move your life in a positive and productive direction. EFT's theory is that all negative emotions are based on a disruption in the body's energy system. The Emotional Freedom Technique is a very simple and non-invasive procedure of tapping on meridian points of the body. It is a simple procedure that clears the disruption from the energy system. It works and it can work on anything. Impressive results ensue because the process addresses causes instead of symptoms.

Energy meridians that run through our body can be blocked or disrupted by unresolved emotional issues, thereby compromising our natural healing potential. Quite often, people are aware of the events or memories that trigger emotional discomfort in their lives, but they have not yet connected those memories to the symptoms of dis-ease in their bodies. Through EFT, it is possible to revisit the event(s) in question, and balance the disturbed meridians. Properly done, both emotional anguish and the physical symptoms subside or disappear.

When to use it:

EFT provides relief from a wide assortment of everyday ailments:

  • Depression
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Fears
  • Emotional Discomfort
  • Procrastination
  • Migraine Headaches
  • Phobias
  • PTSD
  • Anxieties
  • Addictions
  • Depression
  • OCD
  • Eating Disorders
  • Physical pain

It can help you reach emotional recovery from emotional blocks or attitudes about yourself that prevent you from living more fully.

It is currently being used by hundreds of traditional therapists, medical professionals and alternative practitioners.

  • How does it work that a disruption in the body's energy system can have such a profound effect upon us?

  • How can it be that soething as simple as EFT can change this effect in such an extraordinary way?

The answer lies in EFT's similarity to acupuncture. Unlike acupuncture, however, EFT addresses very specific emotional and physical issues.

There are no needles involved, the finger tips are used to tap on the meridians that are closest to the surface of the body. You can learn to do it on yourself.  The best EFT practitioners have learned the techniques available for uncovering the core issues, and approaching them with minimal amounts of emotional distress.

EFT is a remarkable, gentle and comprehensive healing. I find it particularly effective when used in conjunction with hypnotherapy. Both methods are powerful agents that can enhance each other to effect desired behavioral, psychological and emotional healing. I continue to be astounded at its simplicity and its healing power.

  • Jane,  The last two weeks I can tell a apparent change in my thinking.  Overall, I feel that I think less about the things I talked to you about.  I will say this to you:  The couple hours I spent with you helped more than two months of marriage counseling!  Thank you!!  Respectfully,  RS

  • I found Jane Buckman’s name on the Internet associated with EFT. I went to see her because I’d tried so many other modalities to deal with extreme shoulder pain—chiropractic, reiki, acupuncture, physical therapy, massage. Jane’s work with me yielded an almost immediate lessening of pain, allowing me to sleep through the night for the first time in many months. This has helped me heal. I have also gotten a bit more range of motion in my shoulder.  As a side benefit, I find that tapping with the EFT helps me with many other little irritants that pop up during my day, and it helps decrease the pain when that gets unbearable.  Jane is also adept at determining which other modalities she has command of would be appropriate for a particular situation. She has used hypnotherapy on me, as well as other treatments, and in doing so, I feel that she has tapped into issues that I have had that need addressing.  Jane is intuitive, kind, warm-hearted, and very talented in her work. I would recommend her to anyone! A.B.

  • Hi Jane, I've tried many therapies over several years - EMDR, biofeedback, acupuncture, massage, psychotherapy, reiki - and they have given me relief.  However when Jane applied EFT on me, I encountered results that were astounding for speed and permanent relief.   Three to four sessions of EFT have given me results that could have taken many months in other therapies to provide.  From Jane's EFT, I feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.  Dorothy only had to click her heels three times in order to get back home, and I only had to tap on meridian points in order to remove negative emotions permanently in my energy system.  I've spent hundreds of dollars on other therapies for healing negative emotions, however I've learned the most powerful therapy was just knowing how to tap with EFT.   I'm very grateful for Jane in guiding me with her therapy (which is a combination of EFT and hypnotherapy) that  led me to another yellow brick road.  This one is much quicker in healing time effectiveness and cost.
