We are all know of the dangers of smoking and that it is the single worst thing you can do for your health. We know there are over 3,000 chemicals in the tobacco - one of which is sugar to entice and hook you into the habit. Breathing burnt sugar into your lungs may be more damaging than you would ever expect. Smoking affects not only your lungs but your entire physical, mental and emotional body.

All of this usually does not seem to be enough to motivate smokers to stop so we hang on to the habit day in and day out.

You have been Programmed

You have been programmed with the habit that feels like an addiction.

Smokers, and I was a heavy smoker at one time, take on erroneous programmed beliefs such as:


"It calms me." -- In fact, it causes anxiety and even panic attacks.
"It destresses and relaxes me." -- In fact, it gives you something to do with your hands. There are many positive, life-enhancing ways to take a break and relax. I will guide you in that direction.
 "It allows me to think clearly" -- In fact, less oxygen gets to the brain when you smoke so our thinking is not as clear.
 "It's my friend who is always there for me" -- Would you choose a friend who was doing such damage to you?

Simply understanding all the detrimental roles smoking has in your life hasn't been very effective in stopping a smoker from smoking. To stop and stay stopped we need to change the old programming that got you into this way of thinking and behaving. Hypnotherapy allows you to change the old programming. Once the old programmed beliefs are changed, you can take on new and health behavior. This is what hypnosis does - it helps you make the changes you want.
